You don't learn by watching, you learn by doing.

We just launched the biggest thing we've shipped in a while: Roleplay Sessions. It adds practice, coaching, and capability measurement to Synthesia's platform, so training goes from "watch a video" to "actually get good at the thing."

What that means:

Practice: your learners have a real, back-and-forth conversation with an Avatar that talks, asks questions, and pushes back
Coach: before any score appears, the coach asks learners to reflect on how it went, then walks them through it, a real coaching conversation, not a static report
Measure: see who's improving, where the gaps are, and whether the skills that actually drive performance match the ones you'd assume

Since day one, Synthesia has helped teams inform their people at scale with AI video, but knowing what to do and being able to do it are two different things, and closing that gap has always needed a human in the loop, which…doesn't scale.

Roleplay Sessions are our answer: on-demand practice, real-time coaching, and skill uplift you can actually measure, all in one platform.

We've already rolled this out to thousands of sales reps at Fortune 10 companies, and the early results have been pretty wild:

Exciting update: Selfie Avatars now generate in landscape format!

When we first launched Selfie Avatars, we focused on mobile-friendly, portrait dimensions. But as more of you are using avatars for dynamic videos, we’ve made some improvements to better support that.

Here’s what’s new:

🖼️ Landscape orientation only

👤 Avatars now stay a little closer to the camera

🧘 They move less dramatically, making lip sync more stable and motion more natural

Note: You won’t be able to create new portrait Selfie Avatars anymore—but we think you’ll like how polished the new ones look in your videos 😉

Don’t worry—that’s not a mistake!

As of today, the AI Video Events and the Office Hours spaces have been merged into one consolidated space for our events 👉 #Events

We hope that being able to access all of our events from one space makes it easier to stay on top of all of our webinars, office hours sessions, and other live events—we know we’re putting out quite a lot of content for ya!
