Video Overview page

Video overview page

On this page you can:

Publishing

In order to share your video with your audience, you will need to publish it.

Publishing your video will create a shareable link and embed code for your video, as well as enable the option to export a SCORM package to upload to your LMS.

๐Ÿ‘

Shareable links are not discoverable via search engines.

The link to the share page is publicly accessible, but not publicly discoverable. This means that in order for someone to access a published video, they will have to have the video link shared with them directly.

To publish your video:

  1. Click the Share button in the upper right corner of the video overview page.
  2. Click the Create link button.

Sharing

There are three ways that you can share a published video with the Synthesia video player:

Option Description
Copy embed code Copy an embed code to embed your video in another website with an iframe.
Copy link Get a publicly accessible link to the Synthesia video's share page.
Download SCORM Export your video as a SCORM package to embed the Synthesia video player in your Learning Management System and track your learners' video completion rates.

SCORM

To export a SCORM package:

  1. Under Download SCORM:
    1. Select an export version:
      1. SCORM 1.2
      2. SCORM 2004
  2. Specify the percentage of the video that your learners need to watch in order to mark the video as completed for them in your LMS. Either drag the slider or edit the text in the text field to set the completion criteria.
  3. Click Download SCORM to download the .zip file.

Video Analytics

๐Ÿ“Œ

Note: Video Analytics are only available for videos shared via Synthesia's video player. This includes videos shared via embeds, SCORM packages, and the video's share page link. Synthesia's Video Analytics are not available for video content that has been downloaded as an .mp4 and uploaded into another platform.

Learner data table:

Metric Description

Individual learner data

Click any learner to open their history:

Progress โ€” a chart plotting the learner's score across sessions, with the passing score marked as a reference line.

Sessions โ€” each session listed with its Date, Status, and Score. The highest-scoring session is tagged BEST.

Quiz resultsโ€” click any session for the overall score, whether the learner passed, and their response to each question.

Export learner data

Export the raw session data for a quiz to analyze it outside Synthesia or share it with stakeholders who don't have access to the analytics page.

  1. Open the Results tab of the video analytics page.
  2. Select Request CSV in the sidebar.

The export is generated in the background and sent to your login email as a .zip file, usually within a few minutes (up to 15). The CSV inside contains one row per session, with each learner's score, status, date, and question-level responses.

Click on the three dots in the top right corner of the video overview page to access the More actions menu.

From this menu, you'll be able to:

YouTube codes prove that you have the right to use stock music from Soundstripe in your video.

If you've created a video using stock music from Soundstripe and plan to upload your video to YouTube, be sure to generate YouTube codes for the music you've used and add them to your YouTube video's description in order to avoid copyright issues with your video.

Clicking Save as template will create a copy of the current video as a template. You'll be redirected to the editor, where you can edit the newly-created template and publish it to your custom template library to use for future videos.
