## How do I use YouTube codes?

When uploading a Synthesia video to YouTube that includes Soundstripe music, it's crucial to generate single-use codes for each track used in the video to avoid copyright content claims. These codes serve as proof that the songs were properly licensed, and related content claims will typically clear within minutes.

## Generate a YouTube Code

1. Select the ellipsis next to the **publish** button to pull up the **video actions menu**.
2. Select **Generate YouTube codes**.
3. Paste the generated codes in your YouTube video description in the following format:

- Example: `Code: ABC123, DEF456, GHI789`

✍️ Each **song requires its own unique code**, and a **new code** must be **generated** for every use in a different video.

✍️ If a claim doesn't clear within a few hours despite correctly formatted codes, you can dispute it directly through YouTube's copyright dispute process. Contact our support team if you need help confirming your codes were generated and used correctly.
